AMAZING

God is so AMAZING!  We only need 245 people to give $25 each to be fully funded!!!
God is moving mountains through people who are giving so generously. We are so humbled and thankful for the envelopes with donations, online donations, gifts in Christmas cards to the anonymous card arriving in the mail, all to help bring Moriah home. It has been an amazing journey watching God work. My sweet Sarah only asked for things for Christmas to get the room ready for her sister. So after receiving gifts from our extended family we happily decorated the girls room. We are so thankful for the crib from my sister. It is a precious thought that all her children and now Moriah will use this crib.

We still have room on the So Loved Frame!!

Please keep praying that the Lord will raise up the last 245 people needed for the frame fundraiser or that he will show us what to do next. We are praying for wisdom on how to raise this last amount.
Prayer is so powerful. Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement.

We only need 286 people to give $25 to be done raising our funds. We would love to put your name on the frame! We are so thankful for each and everyone of you that have given and helped with fundraising!!  Please keep praying for our paperwork. We keep hitting little bumps but God is Working his perfect timing!!  We hope to have our papers to China the first week of January. Please keep praying for Papers to move and for Moriah's heart to be prepared for all the changes that will happen. Thank you all for your love, support and prayers!!

Where is God working??

Wow!! God is working in amazing ways. There is something that really stands out each adoption and for Moriah's it has been watching God work through children. Time and time again we have seen God move children's hearts to help bring Moriah home. It brings me to tears not only because I am so thankful for these gifts coming from their hearts but also for all the Lord will do with the blessing of their giving. I still remember sitting at a baby shower in my childhood church and it was a shower for an adoption and Bethany adoption agency shared and it touched my heart way back then. I can't wait to see how children helping another child will one day touch their lives and others. I got this email from a dear friend of mine who wanted me to know that the large gift in the envelope came only from her children. These words touched my heart and I wanted to share them with you.

I told the kids about your picture frame fundraiser, and they were
excited, and decided to have a collection among themselves, even
contacting their brother at college. And I bring this up to tell you
that this is strictly their contribution (and they get a dollar a week
allowance, so it is mostly earned income), but also to thank you for an
opportunity for me to see more of my kids' hearts. I can't imagine what
it is like for you to step out in trust and need to raise so much money,

but I want to thank you for the privilege you've given us to participate
in such a great cause. Merry Christmas!

We will have an update soon with all the fundraisers added into the thermometer!

It has been a busy week! I have been to Harrisburg twice in two days with papers. We now have them complete so our HUGE stack of expensive papers is on its way overnight to NY City to the Chinese Consulate. Please pray they will arrive there safely with all the holiday shipping happening at the same time. The papers are then mailed to our agency and them off to China!!! Please also pray for a miracle that the papers will get to our agency by Dec 21st so they can be sent to China before the holidays or else we will have to wait until Jan 4th!

SO LOVED

We are so thankful for how the Lord has been working. When we took the step of faith to adopt again the financial mountain of raising $35,000 seemed  so overwhelming but we trusted the Lord and answered His call to bring home Moriah. It has been amazing watching God move this mountain. We are so thankful for everyone who has been involved. Papers are moving and we are hoping we will travel early summer or possibly Spring. ( Sarah is praying for a miracle to be there by her Birthday in March.:))  We have been praying about how to raise the last $15,000 we will need. The kids have come up with a special Christmas fundraiser.Watch and see what they are up to.

                                                 The Christmas SO LOVED fundraiser.
For everyone who donates $25 or more you name will be placed on the SO LOVED picture that will be hung in Moriah's room.  The kids have figured out that if 600 people give $25 OR 300 people give $50 OR 150 people give $100 then we would be FULLY FUNDED! Please pray how they Lord would like you to be involved.  All online donations do take a small % for their transaction fees.

For this fundraiser the easiest way to keep track of where we are will be to donate through the Reeces Rainbow button on the left. Please email me at lang4@hometownu.com    so I know what name to add to the picture. We won't get a list of the people who donate until the end of the month and we would love to fill up the picture as we go. We actually found Moriah on the Reeces Rainbow site. She was known as "Shelly" on there so that is why you will see that name in the description on their site. We are excited to see what the Lord will do through this SO LOVED fundraiser.

A Surprise in the Mail

We are jumping for joy over here!!! When I asked for prayer yesterday for papers to keep moving, I didn't expect to have them arrive in the mail today!!  We had gotten a letter saying it would take 10-14 days and didn't expect the papers for over a week and here they were in the mail. We have our official appointment to go get our fingerprints done with homeland security next week!(Please pray specifically that it will go well for Peter they always have trouble getting his prints) This is a huge step because as soon as we get the results (please pray they come quickly) we can then be off to Harrisburg for the state seal $$$ and then send papers off to NY for the China embassy seal $$$ and then we will be ready to send out huge pack of expensive papers (Dossier)$$$$ to CHINA!!!!! YAY!!!!  We are praying this will happen before Christmas.  We are also very excited to say that the  MUDLOVE Bracelet and Mug sale went very well. Sarah and her friends raised $462!! Way to go girls!! Our thermometer keeps creeping up. The auction went very well and as soon as we have all items paid and delivered we will add that to the thermometer. We are so thankful for everyone's generosity. Some people have asked how to make a donation. There are several ways listed on the sides of this page. If you have any questions please email me at lang4@hometownu.com We appreciate all your prayers and hope you are as blessed as we are watching God work!!

Baking Bounce

Thank you to everyone who helped with the baked sale!!!! (Thank you Sarah for baking endlessly all week long.) Thank you to those who stopped by to shop and donate. You all helped us raise $576. This helped us to bounce over the half way mark to our total needed goal of $35,000. We now are at $17,576!!  We are also waiting to hear totals from the auction and bracelet fundraisers that ended tonight. We are watching God work in mighty ways!!!  We will keep you posted soon with the new total!! We still have one more fundraiser open. It is a Tupperware fundraiser you can check out by clicking HERE   Please keep praying that the Lord will show us what to do next. We have come so far in such a short time but we are praying for new ideas as to what to do next to reach our goal. Thank you for all your prayers! They are so important and such an encouragement. Please also pray for us as we go into the holidays. It is hard not having Moriah here yet. Please keep praying for her to be healthy and safe and for papers to keep  moving!!  Thank you!!

Wow! Watch God Work!

Watch God Work is definitely the theme for Moriah's adoption journey. I can barely keep up with all God is doing!!  We had a wonderful lunch fundraiser again at our homeschool group and we were overwhelmed with the blessing of generous hearts that gave donations and by the support shown in the lunch fundraiser. God is working in so many ways. Not only will Moriah's life be touched but so many people are being touched along the way.

We have several fundraisers occurring this week with the holidays just around the corner!!!

1. We are having a bake sale at the Renninger's Markert in Kutztown this Saturday Nov 21st. Stop by between 8-3 to pick up some delicious baked goods. Sarah and others have been baking away!

2. We currently have an online auction with over 86 items on Facebook. The auction closes on Sunday Nov 22nd. Here is the link  online auction

3. My Sweet Daughter Sarah has been working so hard to get ready for the bake sale this Saturday that she has not had a chance to share anything online about the Mud Love Fundraiser she is doing. This is a is an awesome opportunity to not only help bring Moriah home but also provide 1 week of clean water to someone in need for each item ordered. I love this double blessing! We just found out that we need to cut our time a little shorter so we can have time to distribute the items by Christmas. So if you are interested please email (lang4@hometownu.com) by Sunday (Nov 22) You may be asking what is Mud Love. They are beautiful bracelets and mugs beginning with mud and turned to love. What I love most is that you can choose from 25 classic sayings and the color of the adjustable band for the Bracelets OR create your own saying on your bracelet or mug!! These are great personal gift ideas. Classic Bracelets are $10, Custom Bracelets are $15, mugs are $25 and custom mugs $30. ( If not local we will need to add shipping) Please join me in a triple blessing 1 to bring Moriah home, 2 clean water for someone in need and 3 to bless my sweet Sarah who is working so hard to help bring her sister home from China. Here is a picture of my custom bracelet. I love it!   To view all the bracelet and mug choices click HERE

4. Plexus All Natural Supplements- I now have my own business as an Ambassador with Plexus Worldwide which is helping with extra income to help bring Moriah home.  Each new customer in November will help with a special opportunity to earn additional income and there is FREE shipping this month. There are multivitamins for adults and kids, pain relief, omega, Probio 5, weight loss, gut health and more. Please email me if you would like more information on how to feel better and get healthier before the holidays. Sarah and I have been using these great supplements and they have been life changing. We are getting healthier from the inside out!!

Thank you for all your support to help bring Moriah home!!!
We are almost half way there!!!!

Watch God Work some more!!

It is Orphan Sunday and my heart breaks for the millions of children still waiting for families yet my heart is so thankful for the two boys God has brought to our family through adoption. They have brought so much joy and blessing to us all. Adoption has been an incredible journey that had taught me so much about our loving God and stretched my faith to new levels. I am so thankful to be on this journey again to our precious little Moriah. It is long and hard but so amazing to watch God work. With moving into the next phase of our adoption paperwork there will be a large amount needed soon. The festival was a blessing that would cover part of it. God had given me such a peace that He has this covered. Then God did something amazing. He rained down funds from heaven. I literally had money in my church mailbox today bringing me to tears. Our agency also has a way to donate tax deductible gifts and God put on some peoples hearts to give and their very generous gifts along with the festival have helped us be able to cover phase 2!!! We can now breath and focus on the next huge part that will be needed.  We have almost reach the half way point on our total!! Thank you so much to those of you who have listened and taken action to help Moriah. I love watching God work not only in our lives but in others too.  I just keep giving it to him and asking him to give me wisdom with what fundraisers to do next. Since I only have so many hours in a day and papers that still need to be done along side my other responsibilities. I really need wisdom and help with fundraising. I am so thankful for the friends who have jumped in and started their own fundraisers to help bring Moriah home. It is such a huge blessing!! With Christmas just around the corner we will have some very exciting gifts ideas coming very soon. And don't forget to stop by Renninger's Market on Nov 21st to pick up baked items for the holidays.

Onto Phase #2!!

We are so excited!!  Today our homestudy arrived in the mail.

We then quickly added it to our next pack of forms and went out the door to the post office to start Phase #2. We are applying for our fingerprinting appointment with homeland security. Pray this process will go quickly. It takes several weeks to wait for all this to happen.  Once we get that done we go to Harrisburg for the State Seal on all the papers. And just to make sure everything is complete the pack then goes to NY for the China Embassy seals. Every one of these baby steps comes with costs. We are praying about our next fundraisers. We have a bake sale on Nov. 21st at Renningers Market in Kutztown. If you would like to help you can sign up here (bake sale sign up) We also have a silent auction coming November 16th. If you or someone you know whats to donate items for the auction please email me right away. lang4@hometownu.com
You can visit the auction here. online auction site
We greatly appreciate all your prayers and support!!

Watch God Work!!!

What an amazing week we have had. Last Saturday we had our FUN for Family festival. The Lord answered our prayers with beautiful weather and blessed us with over $2,800!  It was so exciting to see God work. We are so thankful for the people who helped put this day together and for everyone who came out to help and enjoy the day.

We then were able to use the extra food to sell lunch at our homeschool group. Pushing our funds over the $3,000 mark. What a blessing that day was as so many friends supported and encouraged us in so many ways that day from buying lunch, buying pumpkins and giving from their hearts. One precious little girl came to me with eleven cents and said, "Here this is a tip to help with your adoption." Still brings me to tears as I Watch God Work. He is touching lives not only ours but others.

Wednesday in the poring rain I ran around to deliver auction items and was so blessed by strangers with their additional support they added to a check or encouraging words of excitement and support in our journey to Moriah.

I then was blessed by a friend who introduced me to an incredible woman who shared her life journey. She has 12 children 9 whom are adopted. Honestly I was so exhausted and still trying to catch up but the Lord told me to keep this date and I am so thankful I did. I was able to sit and rest and hear all the Lord had done. I left so filled and so encouraged to keep strong on this long hard road but what struck me the most was one phrase that someone had left her with years earlier. "Watch God Work"

It really challenged me to stop and look, really look for God in each day. He is there even when it doesn't feel like it. I am so thankful for a God who loves us all so deeply.I can't wait to see all the Lord will do to bring Moriah home and all the lives that will be touched along the way.  I am excited to Watch God Work.  Where is He working in your life??

Obedience

Obedience sometimes has some negative connotations to it, usually because it can be hard to do. But when we do, so many amazingly beautiful things can happen. 11 year ago today our precious Pierson was born. There are many bittersweet feeling of the thought of his birth. I am so thankful his birth mother choose life and I am so thankful we listened and obeyed the call to become his parents. What an amazing gift we have been given.

God then called us again to go and get Cargan. A child who had never been hugged in 6 years of his life. Oh, thank you Lord for calling us to be obedient to your plan for our family. What an incredible journey to watch a life transform before your eyes and receive the sweetest hugs imaginable.

Then there is my sweet Sarah who's heart is always seeking the Lord and encouraging us to be obedient to what the Lord has called us to do. There has been a lot of heartache over the past two years thinking God was putting the pieces together to adopt to then have them fall apart in a split second. But she kept the faith and believed in God's perfect plan.

Honestly this road of obedience has not been easy. I have been stretched beyond measure. It has been a difficult journey and each time we walk the adoption road again it gets harder knowing how hard it was before. It has not been a step of faith this time but a huge leap. God is so faithful.
We can't post her picture on social media but email me if you would like to see her. :)

So we are excited to again be called to adopt. This time a tiny little girl who was a preemie like our Sarah. We have named her Moriah and we hope to travel in the summer to get her.  There are many days when the seed of discouragement starts to creep in and I cry out to the Lord in prayer wondering if she will really ever come home. And I have to tell you that God has already done amazing things.

Our yard sale was one of those huge things. He provided beyond what we could have imagined. But then something happened that was so precious. God prompted specific people who gave from their heart and those gifts came at the exact moment that the Lord knew I needed to here from Him and what was so amazing to me was that these people all said God told us to give, this is from Him and they were obedient. I write through tears because their obedience was such a huge blessing but it also was a clear voice from the Lord saying Daphne "I will being her home!!"

Thank you!!

Thank you for all your prayers for the yard sale. God multiplied all the customers and provided greatly with the funds!!!  We are so excited to share how awesome God is. Keep praying God is working!!

Sacrifice

Sarah wanted to share something on her heart. She wrote this several days ago.

Here is what my sweet Sarah wrote about her own experience.

Have I missed out by our family adopting??

Yes. I have missed out. Instead of family vacations we were fundraising. Have I ever been to Disney world? No. But you know what? I don’t care. What I have gained is so much more then what I have lost. I have gained a heart after the Father’s. My desire is to serve the orphans and the widows. Instead of saving up for a new bike I was saving up for a plane ticket. It was worth it. Instead of crying over ruining a manicure I was sobbing on the plane at the thought of leaving so many children behind. It is worth it. Spending time with my family is just as important as spending it with friends. Every hug is a battle won. Every minute of spending time together meant that love was building. Adoption has broken me and Christ has made me more like him through it all. Has it been hard? Yes. But oh so worth it!

I wanted to post this as I continue to see the Lord working in my Children's hearts. They are looking for ways to help the Reed family who we dearly love. The Reeds are trying desperately to get their 2 girls home from China but keep hitting walls. They are only 1 week away from leaving and needed $4,000 yet to be fully funded and then went to purchase tickets and found they are $3,000 higher. They now need $7,000 ASAP.  What did my kids do. They found everything they could to sell to help raise money for our friends.  I love how God is teaching them to sacrifice for others. You can  Donate to help the Reeds Click here.   THANK YOU!!

One Year Ago

A year ago this February we were excited to help our friends, the Reeds, prepare to bring home their son Joel, and their daughter Sophia.

Sophia

We had been desperately trying to raise the last support they needed to travel. We were amazed at God’s miracle when he provided the exact amount on February 7th. We were rejoicing!!  Then rejoicing turned to sorrow the very next day when we learned sweet Sophia went home to be with Jesus. It has been a long hard but amazing journey to watch God, “give unto them beauty from ashes”. God has been working in the Reeds lives and now has blessed them with two beautiful girls waiting in China. You can read their amazing story on their blog Here .

Caitlyn

Talia

In China they are preparing for Chinese New Year and the Reeds are celebrating with a special Red Envelope Fundraiser. This is a great way to celebrate new life and to support this family. They could really use your help!!  You can chose a red envelope and donate the coordinating amount. Details can be found HERE
What a great gift for Valentine's Day to honor someone you love with a donation.

We hope you will come join us in helping the Reed Family bring their girls home!!!
PS Keep an eye out we will be having a Coffee fundraiser very soon!!
