Watch God Work!!!

What an amazing week we have had. Last Saturday we had our FUN for Family festival. The Lord answered our prayers with beautiful weather and blessed us with over $2,800!  It was so exciting to see God work. We are so thankful for the people who helped put this day together and for everyone who came out to help and enjoy the day.

We then were able to use the extra food to sell lunch at our homeschool group. Pushing our funds over the $3,000 mark. What a blessing that day was as so many friends supported and encouraged us in so many ways that day from buying lunch, buying pumpkins and giving from their hearts. One precious little girl came to me with eleven cents and said, "Here this is a tip to help with your adoption." Still brings me to tears as I Watch God Work. He is touching lives not only ours but others.

Wednesday in the poring rain I ran around to deliver auction items and was so blessed by strangers with their additional support they added to a check or encouraging words of excitement and support in our journey to Moriah.

I then was blessed by a friend who introduced me to an incredible woman who shared her life journey. She has 12 children 9 whom are adopted. Honestly I was so exhausted and still trying to catch up but the Lord told me to keep this date and I am so thankful I did. I was able to sit and rest and hear all the Lord had done. I left so filled and so encouraged to keep strong on this long hard road but what struck me the most was one phrase that someone had left her with years earlier. "Watch God Work"

It really challenged me to stop and look, really look for God in each day. He is there even when it doesn't feel like it. I am so thankful for a God who loves us all so deeply.I can't wait to see all the Lord will do to bring Moriah home and all the lives that will be touched along the way.  I am excited to Watch God Work.  Where is He working in your life??

Obedience

Obedience sometimes has some negative connotations to it, usually because it can be hard to do. But when we do, so many amazingly beautiful things can happen. 11 year ago today our precious Pierson was born. There are many bittersweet feeling of the thought of his birth. I am so thankful his birth mother choose life and I am so thankful we listened and obeyed the call to become his parents. What an amazing gift we have been given.

God then called us again to go and get Cargan. A child who had never been hugged in 6 years of his life. Oh, thank you Lord for calling us to be obedient to your plan for our family. What an incredible journey to watch a life transform before your eyes and receive the sweetest hugs imaginable.

Then there is my sweet Sarah who's heart is always seeking the Lord and encouraging us to be obedient to what the Lord has called us to do. There has been a lot of heartache over the past two years thinking God was putting the pieces together to adopt to then have them fall apart in a split second. But she kept the faith and believed in God's perfect plan.

Honestly this road of obedience has not been easy. I have been stretched beyond measure. It has been a difficult journey and each time we walk the adoption road again it gets harder knowing how hard it was before. It has not been a step of faith this time but a huge leap. God is so faithful.
We can't post her picture on social media but email me if you would like to see her. :)

So we are excited to again be called to adopt. This time a tiny little girl who was a preemie like our Sarah. We have named her Moriah and we hope to travel in the summer to get her.  There are many days when the seed of discouragement starts to creep in and I cry out to the Lord in prayer wondering if she will really ever come home. And I have to tell you that God has already done amazing things.

Our yard sale was one of those huge things. He provided beyond what we could have imagined. But then something happened that was so precious. God prompted specific people who gave from their heart and those gifts came at the exact moment that the Lord knew I needed to here from Him and what was so amazing to me was that these people all said God told us to give, this is from Him and they were obedient. I write through tears because their obedience was such a huge blessing but it also was a clear voice from the Lord saying Daphne "I will being her home!!"
