Last week

We are in our last week here. We are all ready to come home. Especially Cargan he can't wait to come to America. I am not sure what he is expecting but we are glad he is excited. Please pray as one paper is missing important information and is being redone in our last province and overnighted. Pray it we arrive in time before our big meeting on your Tuesday night our Wednesday morning. W are doing well but could use prayer on boundaries as he has had none for 6 years. W are making baby steps and also seeing a sweet side but it is hard when he has a melt down in public as we have no idea what he is saying to everyone around us. We miss you all. My sister will try to post a picture we are having trouble uploading them here.

We made it!

We had a very nice visit in Taiwan. It was hot but we are so thankful for the time we could spend there. We had a miracle happen for our connecting flight to China. We were put on an earlier flight and we were put in first class. We are so thankful to everyone praying for us we can feel your prayers. On your Sunday night we will be meeting Cargan. Please pray for a good night sleep for us and for our first meeting and a good transition. We have limited access  but we will try to post a picture soon.

We are ready to leave and are all packed !!! All of our things( for 5 people) fit in 2 suitcases and 2 carry-ons. a miracle !!! Here are some pictures of every thing we are bringing (minus dad’s backpack) . Off we go!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2013

Mother's Day is a special day, but for me it has extra special meaning. 8 years ago on Mother's Day we went to Taiwan to bring home our Pierson and now this Mother's Day we are packing to bring home our Cargan. May 14th will always be a day to remember. We brought Pierson home that day and now we are leaving that day to pick up Cargan. We are so thankful for the 3 miraculous children God has blessed us with. I am so thankful to God for the miracle of life. Each of our children has been blessed with the gift of life and we pray they will all have a sweet personal relationship with the one who gave them life. Please keep us in prayer we will need it! Below are a few requests. Remember we will be 12 hours ahead in China. So next week at this time I will be holding our new son!!

Cargan Here We Come!!!

We have flights booked to China!!! We will be leaving May 14 and returning May 31. I can not even begin to explain all the miracles that have happened this past week. First starting with the fact that our TA (travel approval) came in 1 week!! This was earlier than expected. The estimated time was 2-4 weeks. We then had to ask for our CA (consulate appointment) which should take 2 business days and only took 1 day!!. I do not believe in coincidences. I believe in the almighty God creator of all, who knows every detail of our lives. We are so excited to have flights booked and we are so ready to go meet our son!!!

But there is another miracle tucked in this incredible story. Our precious Pierson who is now 8 was born in Taiwan and came to us when he was 7 months old. He was at a Home (little orphanage) where we adopted him. It is run by a wonderful couple, who are missionaries and serve the Lord with all there heart. They have a precious place in our hearts and are like grandparents. Pierson has asked over the years to be able to go and see them.  As we began Cargan’s adoption we began to pray if it was at all possible to be able to visit them. God heard a little boy’s prayers! We had a small window of time to visit between May 11 and May 18. because they are coming to the states for a few months. Do you know when God planned for us to be in China?? Yes, you know it! May 18^th. Thus we are able to go a little early and stop in Taiwan. The miracle does not end there. When trying to get the flights there was much confusion as to whether we could go directly from Taiwan to China or if we needed to pass through Hong Kong (due to politics). Well we kept getting mixed answers. I asked many of you to pray for the details and God answered. We decided to keep it safe and go through Hong Kong which should have added cost to our flights but our wonderful travel agent found us flights that were the same or actually a little lower than we had expected for going directly to China AND for the exact dates we needed. What an amazing God we have!!! Every piece was put into place and I can’t wait to see all he will do in the next part of this journey!!! Please keep praying we will need lots of prayer as we head out. I will post our specific requests before we leave in 12 days!!! But who is counting :)
